Springtime in Review

BABY ANIMAL DAYS-
The Friday before Easter, we went up to Logan to meet up with our friends the Blacks for Baby Animal Days.  It wasn't very busy because it was a cloudy, cold day so it was perfect.  Haidyn and her friend Scarlett had a blast petting all the animals and riding the horses....

We make cute farm animals don't we?

Riding the "Hosez".

Best Friends!

EASTER-
Easter weekend was full of fun!  Haidyn participated in 3 Easter Egg
Hunts, one at Lee Olsen Park in Plain City, another at
Grandma and Grandpa Carter's, and another with the Slater
Family in Slaterville.  We dyed eggs with my mom and sisters.
The Easter Bunny also visited our house.  He brought Haidyn
a new "sisuit", "Slippers" (flip-flops), Easter Dress,
baby stroller, and camp chair.

VOLLEYBALL-

I played on a Spring Volleyball league with some good friends!
We Dominated even with 2 of us being prego! :)

LAGOON-

Chase's co-worker gave us some passes for a super good deal that we couldn't pass up.  Since it was so cheap, we decided we would bring Haidyn so she would be able to ride all the kiddy rides. We invited Haido's cousin's Macy and Coleman and had a blast.  Haidyn rode every ride at least once.  The boat ride and merry-go-round were her faves.  She loved riding them with "Macycoleman".  She thinks of them as one person I think.

Riding the Ferris Wheel.  Haidyn was not afraid at all.  I think I was more nervous than anyone.
LIBRARY-  Haidyn and I have started going to Discovery Time at the library every Thursday morning.  She loves it!  They sing songs, read stories, act out animals and make crafts.  Here is Haidyn modeling her pirate hat while saying "aargh".

1ST ICE CREAM CONE EXPERIENCE- Ya I guess I thought they would be too messy before now.  Well she surprised me and ate it so dainty, there was hardly a mess to clean up.  But she definitely wanted more!

CHASE TURNED 28!- Chase had an eventful birthday week!  We had a great time going out to dinner with the Carter's at Pizzeria on his actual birthday.  I embarrassed him at work with balloons and a cheesecake the day before his birthday.  The weekend after his birthday, I took him on a date to his favorite restaurant, Famous Dave's, and we saw The Avengers.  Then finished the week on Sunday at The Nebeker's house where they threw him a fun party. :)

IT'S A BOY! - At  16 weeks we found out that we are having a baby boy!  His original due date was November 7th but the Doc moved it up to October 30th because I guess he is a large boy.  So it looks like we will be having a Halloween baby! :)  We are so excited!
Here is Haidyn giving the thumb's up!...

RACCOONS-
Yes you are seeing this right... these are baby raccoons.  Well... one Friday afternoon, Chase called me at work and said that we had two baby raccoons laying in our front yard in pretty bad shape and if any of you know me well, you know that I do not like having animals of my own BUT I can't sit by and watch animals die in front of me... I'm a secret animal lover. Yes I know they are raccoons, but I can't even kill a spider.  SO...long story short, I took care of them for 5 days, called every business I could think of that might take them in, which was so ridiculous because it's supposedly illegal in Utah to rehabilitate baby raccoons BUT there is NO option to put them down or anything else!  You are pretty much supposed to leave them to die.  Well sorry but I couldn't do it so I finally found a place for them to go.  Haidyn loved taking care of them with me and she still asks me every day "Where are the raccoons mom?" even though she already knows the answer.  She's a cutie.

JORDANELLE-
We went on our annual Jordanelle camping trip over Memorial Weekend and our house survived this year!! We were so happy! The trip was fun overall... It was rainy a few days, but Haidyn enjoyed it so much that it didn't matter.  She loved dancing in the trailer with the big girls and telling embarrassing stories, playing by the camp fire, sliding on the playground, and throwing rocks in the water.  She did not, however, like the fish that dad caught.  As soon as he reeled in his first fish, she started bawling.  She kept telling 3 stories to everyone the rest of the trip, 1- that daddy caught a fish that was "shaking". 2- that Stockton was hurt in his hand but "he's tough!"  and 3- that mommy ripped her pants.  Its so funny that she remembers specific things that happen and tells the same stories for weeks. :)

Funny Faces.
Hanging with her best friend Kaitlyn.

Playing with Auntie Jess.
Throwing rocks in the lake.. Her favorite thing to do.

You can't really tell in this picture, but Chase went golfing with  the older guys and I guess my  uncle Ryan didn't enjoy him being there so he nailed him in the head with a golf ball. :)  Yes I didn't think this happened very often either but I guess Chase was in the wrong place at the wrong time because he got clocked right above the eyebrow.  He was lucky it hit him where it did though.  So crazy!

After Jordanelle, we headed straight up to a condo in Midway and stayed the night there with our good friends, The Blacks.  Haidyn had so much fun with her best friend Scarlett!

A picture of me at 14 weeks along.  I'm a lot bigger this time around!
and we can't forget all the SMILES from this spring.
